What is the Scout Network?
The Scout Network
is a brand new section that has recently been formed under the
Programme Review initiative from HQ.
How old are they?
Members of the
Scout Network are aged between 18 to 25yrs
What do they wear?
The Scout
Network wear a full uniform. Scouting is a uniformed organisation
and the uniform tells everyone that you are a Scout. The uniform
consists of:
Stone Shirt
Scarf
Blue Long trousers / Skirt
What badges do they have?
Chief
Scouts Award - Platinum, Diamond & The Queens Scout Award -
These are the Highest award available in the Scout Network Section.
Duke of
Edinburgh - The Scout Network and Explorer Scouts are also able
to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme.
Members will
also be encouraged to obtain qualifications through National
Governing Bodies, for example British Canoe Union.
How
do I join?
All members of
the Scout movement aged 18 to 25 are automatically members of the
Network and many of these people will have leadership roles in other
sections, but you don't need to be already involved with
Scouting to join.
