Brent District Scouts Take to the Water at Phoenix Canoe Club

On a sunny Sunday afternoon, Scouts from Brent District took to the water at Phoenix Canoe Club for a sailing taster session. The young people were able to experience the thrill of sailing on the Welsh Harp Reservoir, learning the basics of steering and controlling the sail.

Instructors from Phoenix Canoe Club were on hand to provide guidance and support, and the Scouts were able to put their new skills to the test in a series of fun races.

"It was an amazing experience, and I loved being out on the water," said Scout, Jay. "The instructors were really helpful and made sure we were all safe and comfortable. I can't wait to come back and do it again!"

The sailing taster session was a great opportunity for the Scouts to try out a new activity and learn new skills in a fun and supportive environment. The Brent District Scouts are grateful to the Phoenix Canoe Club for hosting them and for providing such a fantastic experience.

"We were delighted to welcome the Scouts from Brent District to our club," said Phil, from the Canoe Club. "It's always great to see young people getting excited about sailing and learning new skills. We hope to see them back at the club soon!"
